FCAD Forum Summer Institute, 2017 Creative Disruptions, Disruptive Creatives

The inaugural FCAD Forum Summer Institute is a multidisciplinary research-intensive for Scholars, Graduate Students and Creatives invested in tackling various challenges and opportunities within the Creative Industries and the Arts.

We bring together a diverse array of individuals to enable transformative research, spark actionable ideas and collaboratively develop new approaches and pathways in the fields of Communication & Design. The goal of the Summer Institute is to cultivate an intellectually stimulating environment to learn and explore key themes, debates and trends in the creative industries

Our 2017 theme, Creative Disruptions, Disruptive Creatives explores how, in the age of digital disruption, we might envision methods, frameworks, and paradigms that encourage analysis of the creative sector that intertwines technological, demographic, financial and political concerns into fresh multilayered approaches. By dividing the Summer Institute into seminars, keynote lectures, and creative events we seek to cultivate a dynamic awareness of the multiple ways in which we might facilitate scholarly engagements with culture.
